Very few people gain enough experience and knowledge to be considered as specialists. People are very quick to associate specialization with genius, quick wittedness or mental powers. For me a specialist is someone entirely different.
A specialist’s defining trait is his belief and perseverance. It’s how far he is willing to go break down theories into facts which are intuitively obvious him. It’s how dedicated he is to finding out the rationale behind what interests him. People read, but the specialist understands. People theorize, but the specialist sees it in action. Where people see formulas, the specialist sees the facts.
